The HVAC industry has a chiller problem. Because chiller work is intermittent and requires specialized training, many contractors who accept chiller service calls are doing so with technicians who lack the experience for the equipment in front of them. The result is misdiagnosis, unnecessary part replacement, refrigerant overcharging, and — at worst — compressor damage that turns a $4,000 repair into a $40,000 disaster.
AirPros doesn't dabble in chillers between residential service calls. Our commercial division treats chiller work as a core competency — with the training, tooling, and documentation practices to match. We carry refrigerant recovery and recharge equipment sized for large-tonnage systems, maintain calibrated instruments for electrical and refrigerant circuit analysis, and document every visit with the detail that facility managers and plant engineers actually need.
When you hire a chiller contractor, you're not just buying a service call — you're trusting them with a capital asset that might represent $300,000 to $1,000,000 in replacement value. That's worth asking hard questions about who's doing the work and what they actually know.
Equipment We Service
Carrier AquaForce, Trane RTAC, York YLAA, Daikin Magnitude, Multistack, McQuay, Liebert, Climacheck, and all other major air-cooled scroll, screw, and reciprocating chiller platforms. We service equipment from 20 tons through 500+ tons across single-circuit and multi-circuit configurations.
Refrigerants We Handle
R-410A, R-134a, R-407C, R-22 (service only, no new installations), R-513A, R-454B, and other low-GWP next-generation refrigerants being introduced in new equipment. EPA Section 608 Universal certification. Proper recovery, reclaim, and recharge procedures — documented every time.
Documentation Standard
Every PM visit and service call produces a written report: refrigerant circuit readings, electrical measurements, observed conditions, work performed, and recommended follow-up items. Not a checkbox form — a document your facility team can trend over time and your ownership can reference during due diligence or capital planning.
Parts & Distributor Relationships
Direct distributor relationships with Carrier, Trane, York, and Daikin. Regional parts inventory access for compressors, condenser fan motors, controls boards, and refrigerant circuit components. When a critical part is needed on an emergency basis, our distribution network is the difference between a 4-hour repair and a 4-day facility shutdown.
